Swadhisthana Chakra
This week we learned about the Swadhisthana chakra – the second chakra in our subtle system and the first that is placed above the Kundalini. On the left side this chakra represents the pure knowledge, the knowledge of Kundalini awakening and our unity with our self (or spirit). On the right side, the Swadhisthana chakra is the beginning of the right channel, the Pingala nadi, and provides the creative energy we need to think and act in our daily lives.
If we think to much, or over exert ourselves physically, we can drain the energy of the Swadhisthana chakra and weaken it. Meditation in thoughtless awareness helps greatly to relieve the Swadhisthana and moves our attention from the limitations of the thought process to the unlimited energy of the spirit.
The center Swadhisthana is placed on the central channel (the Shushumna Nadi – representing the parasympathetic nervous system) and gives us the power of spontaneous creativity. As the parasympathetic nervous system is completely independent of our conscious will power, this creativity is inspired by our connection with our spirit and is effortless. This is the kind of creativity that inspires works of art that are timeless and emit tremendous vibrations.

Here is the recording of our streaming session on the Swadhisthana chakra, in case you missed it or if you want to watch it again:
Affirmations
This week we also introduced the affirmations. We already used affirmations in the first session during the practical exercise to awaken our Kundalini and get our self realisation. Affirmations are a simple and effective technique to strengthen our chakras.
But don’t run through all the affirmations mechanically. Instead use the affirmations selectively and focus on those chakras that feel blocked and where the Kundalini cannot pass through freely. We should spend most of our time in meditation enjoying thoughtless awareness – affirmations are just a way of getting there.
Remember you can diagnose this yourself by decoding the sensations in your hands, or maybe you feel the chakras in your body. As you practice meditation you will become more sensitive. If you feel cool, then the Kundalini is rising freely. If you feel a tingling or warm breeze, then this is a sign that the chakra needs clearing. You can use the chakra chart to identify which chakra a specific location in the hand or body relates to.
If you feel the warmth or a tingling sensation on the left side, then you can work on the left side of the corresponding chakra. With the right side vice versa. If you feel the warmth or the tingling on both sides, then you can focus on the center of the chakra.
Before using affirmations go into meditation – you need to be connected for the affirmations to work effectively. When you have located a blockage or catch, place a hand there and say the affirmation. You can address the affirmation to Mother Kundalini or to Shri Mataji. When saying the affirmation keep the hand on the chakra but keep your attention at the crown of your head where the Kundalini exits the fontanelle bone.
Here are the affirmations for each chakra (left, right and center):

Meditating with Music
Music can support the meditative process as if it is balanced music that is an expression of the spirit. The creation of such music is itself an expression of the creative quality of the Swadhisthana chakra. Music that is over emotional or overly aggressive will not support your meditative experience.
As you practice meditation and become more sensitive to vibrations you will feel which music emits cool vibrations and helps you touch the silence of the meditative state. In Western classical traditions this would include music from Mozart, Bach or Händel. In Indian classical music many ragas were conceived by saints meditating on the sounds of the rising Kundalini.
A simple trick to benefit from music is to listen to the music not just with your physical ears but through your Sahasrara where you have a more spiritual perception – this is where the music can help establish your connection.
